Simon on the Streets
The homeless charity Simon on the Streets wanted to raise awareness on a very small budget but with maximum impact. We created the iconic blue plaques detailing the lives of real homeless people. These were then fixed at key rough sleeping locations in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield city centres. We chose areas where homeless people ‘lived’ and that also had high footfall from passers-by. The campaign was also picked up by The Big Issue. We offer ongoing support Simon on the Streets producing annual literature and other materials.
Deliverables: Repurposed the iconic English Heritage Blue Plaques | Created a trial to find the plaques | Final Year Report | Campaign Posters
Outcome: Awareness went up 300%, social noise increased with many people commenting and engaging with the campaign on social channels. PR coverage was also extremely positive across many publications including The Big Issue which featured the campaign - Ultimately seeing an uplift in donations.
